Someone asked for a picture of my studio a while back. Here's one end of it - my workbench - all tidied up before I started on the gourd house. Chaos descends rather quickly as I work on a project, but I always clean up when I'm finished.
Wish my work desk was as tidy as yours. Mine somehow always manages to look like a disaster area no matter how often I clear up. I like to think that I work in creative chaos but mostly it's just chaos :-(
Thanks for posting it. It is surprising what one can learn about methods of work just seeing the most used tools that accumulate on a desktop. How do you like the bending jig for photo etched parts? I have been thinking of purchasing one.
Inspired by the Duth baby houses of the 18th Century. 1:144 scale rooms by Nell Corkin; 1:12 scale cabinet by Gilbert Mena. This piece is sold; a similar pierce can be ordered.
The Tower House
A small English castle of the late 15th century, with later additions. To see this original design from concept to completion, go to the January and February 2009 archives. This one of a kind piece is now in a private collection
Sunday Painter
A forest cottage made from a real walnut. The painting in the foreground is an original watercolor. This piece has been sold, but I bring new walnut cottages to every show.
