ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love it. (Are the stilts an East Coast thing? I've lived in California all my life and have NEVER seen a beach house raised like that...)
ReplyDeleteThe stilts are to help prevent damage from high water. Some beach houses have them - after Sandy, it seems like a good idea.

ReplyDeleteWherever there are hurricanes, you'll find homes raised --sometimes required by local building codes. A building can be a generic beach cottage, or with touches like stilts, it could be made specific to a particular place. Along with the deck, this makes for an impressively accurate miniature. Congratulations!
