You'll notice that the alcove on the left of the back wall is gone, and the inset shelves on each side have been replaced by "glass" shelves mounted on the walls. To accommodate the projecting shelves, I had to make the box about 1/4" wider. The baker's rack in this version is a bit larger, and is painted white. The total number of tiny cakes and pastries is about the same.
This version of the Patisserie and my other new pieces will not be available for sale until the Chicago International Show, April 8th - 10th.
Just delightful! Looking forward to seeing what is on your table in Chicago.

Adorei todos!! uma graça essas caixinhas ,Parabéns pelos trabalhos......bjs
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Sadly, no Chicago Show for me this year; it conflicts with a work conference. :(
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as usual. I love the colours, and all those tiny little cakes are amazing!
ReplyDeleteNell: Well, I finished looking and reading your Blog since the beginning - I think I will now do it all over again! Every piece is so wonderful, and I enjoy your commentaries and explanations. With each new piece I thought to myself, "That's my favorite!" But, I do think I love the August 2010 Walnut Cottage the most. The fretwork in the front door transom is reason enough. Also, the ones with the cats crashing over everything in the rooms. '-) With 4 cats, I can so relate to these pieces. Too funny. Now I am an official Follower. Thank you for sharing your exquisite work with the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteThis is very beautiful! I'll be going to Chicago, I make miniatures, (weelittlewest). I hope we can meet.
